Integrated River Basins Management in Turkey
Under the leadership of World Bank and the Turkish Ministry of Forestry and Water Affairs, the project aims at supporting the implementation of the National Water Basin Management Strategy (NBMS) and the new water sector reforms. It seeks to develop and pilot a strong integrated river basin management approach to improve productivity, sustainability and climate resilience in selected basins. The challenge will be to mitigate the risk of increased water stress and water scarcity, particularly in the agricultural sector. |
